The Palace Hotel San Francisco opened its doors on October 2, 1975, to reveal a hotel of unparalleled luxury. Towering 7 stories above what was then a mere dusty frontier town, it heralded San Francisco's coming of age. Today, after a landmark restoration, the Palace still proclaims San Francisco's role on the world stage. True to refinement of a bygone era, with vaulted ceilings, ornate gilding, and Austrian leaded crystal chandeliers in the Lobby. A history that mirrors the city's own, as host to presidents and royalty, giants of industry and pillars of society. Columns soaring above marble floors towards luminous stained glass, and a menu as elaborate as the gold leaf scones and mirrored doors in the Garden Court. Embracing East and West; centuries-old recipes from authentic Japanese cuisine and unexpected fusions in Californian fare. Sophisticated technology and aesthetic pleasure, in classic ballrooms where an elevated sense of being prevails.

Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, The Palace Hotel is one of the Luxury Collection of Starwood Hotels & Resorts. This outstanding hotel, originally built in 1875 is a prime example of San Francisco's history. It has been called by many "one of the most beautiful places in the world".
